“This ain’t ya grandmothers house plant”
An excellent green, in place of lettuce on sandwiches, steamed, in soups, or stir-fried. Reputed to have anti-viral and anti-cancer properties, and to be beneficial in the treatment of diabetes and numerous other conditions. Hard frost can kill the top growth, but plant will come back in spring. Grows less than 12″ tall, but speads if allowed. Sun or part shade. Prefers well drained soil.
